We are doing well. We are amazed at how quickly the community has moved on from this tragedy. Tuesday, the funeral and the death, Wednesday they were mourning and Thursday our staff was back at work. Death, accidents and revenge are all part of the Gumuz “normal” life. They have learned to emotionally move on from tragedy for it is the only way to survive.
And so we also have moved on. We still talk about it occasionally and the images are still in our minds but they are fading. Our love for these people is growing as we are involved in their lives but it is a love that hurts.
