Thank you for persevering in prayer for rain. There were a number of Gumuz that planted yesterday all day and then it rained! It rained for most of the evening so this morning the ground was still slightly damp. Much more rain will be needed in the coming days and weeks but it is a sign of God's faithfulness and his blessing on this land.
Pray that many more Gumuz would decide to plant this year. The fable of the ant and the grasshopper comes to mind often these days as we see those who prefer to play and those who are planning to work hard and store up grain for the months there is no food.
