Back in Gesses

It is good to be back in Gesses.  It is raining more and it is beautiful and green and cool.  It has averaged 25C during the days and 19C at night so we need our blankets at night since we have large windows and no insulation.   We arrived safely and the drive went really well.   We have all our supplies and personal items in Gesses now and I definitely feel ready to be done moving.  Rolf and Barry have a long list of urgent things to do this week including setting up 3 large water tanks so they can collect rain before the rains end. 

Last night, Joel had fever, chills and other symptoms relating to malaria so I treated him with Coartem and was up with him most of the night.  Each of the families here are dealing with illness in different ways so please do remember to pray for protection, health and that in each situation God would be glorified.  

Joel’s 3 concerns last night were that his new Mohawk hairstyle would be ruined by the cold cloth I had on his forehead, that he would miss the Carnival we had planned for the first day of homeschool and that he would throw up.  His hairstyle is intact, the carnival is being delayed until he feels better (either this afternoon or tomorrow) and he didn’t throw up.  It was so sweet to hear him crying out to the Lord on his behalf (in regards to not wanting to throw up).
