SUCCESS!

Spontaneity sometimes does pay off.  The garage sale was a success in 3 ways.  One, it motivated me to move stuff out of the house instead of sitting in a spare bedroom without a purpose.
Two, Kalia was able to do the fundraiser for Japan that she had planned with her friend Natalie.  They sold lemonade and iced tea along with cookies and squares.

Three, a number of items have found new homes and will hopefully be enjoyed by others in the same way they have been enjoyed in our home.

Unfortunately, our house still seems to have plenty in it.  Round two will likely be a little more work but I am hoping it will become obvious which things we will really find useful in Ethiopia and which things we can do without.

Summer is a wonderful time to transition as our children are presently embracing the outdoors - running through sprinklers, making houses out of weeds and grass clippings, biking, creatively using sidewalk chalk and enjoying some sunshine.
