Unique Creatures in Gesses

I am always amazed at what the children discover in Gesses.  Leaf bugs may be the most unique insect I have ever seen.  

The locust is of course a familiar insect but some of them are the size of an adult hand.  I cannot imagine if we had a plague of such creatures.

Then there is the squeaky insect.  I didn't actually take this picture and I did not hear it squeak but the children all agreed that this is a squeaky insect.  I do not know what it is called.

Next is the headless snake.  We have several varieties of snakes which are venomous and we are very thankful not to have encountered any yet.
