There has been much thunder and many dark clouds have gathered above Gesses but they have given little more than a fine sprinkling of rain. Last night, there was a 5 minute downpour. The rain stopped so abruptly it was as if the clouds realized it was the wrong time and the wrong place. And so the ground was dry this morning.
Still we hope and pray that it will come and the Gumuz are beginning to plant in faith that their plants will grow.
If we were depending on planting to feed us for a year, we would most certainly be on our knees in prayer. And so we pray for those that we serve because without rain, there is no food.
We also continue to wait for reconciliation to take place in Wenber's village but most of all we pray that this great evil would result in the turning of many to our Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for Wenber's village. Fermented grain and strong alcohol is their main food and the affects are quite obvious.
