Our Pets.....so I asked Kalia to grab a camera and take some pictures of Gesses before we left for Bahir Dar. She knew exactly what she wanted to share with you. Her new dog. Meet Cindy. Kitcha's sister who hung around our house all the time anyways. She was rather malnourished and basically a stray but she is full of personality and full health now. It didn't take Kalia long to train her either.
My shepherd girl. What an animal lover! She checks on the goats everyday and knows every single personality, name and state of health!
A young lizard that Kalia caught. It was completely tame within 5 minutes and slept on her finger while she did school work. Joel caught live flies for it and it was completely content hanging onto a finger, sitting on a head or attached to clothing.
Meet Charlotte. The mother of Kitcha and Cindy who likes to check on us from time to time. She is actually a really great dog and belongs to our neighbours.

Our 3 tortoises who also are full of personality and love cooked carrots. This is a treat since carrots are not readily available.
Kalia and Joel took the tortoises to a small spring and they LOVED swimming. Did you know tortoises actually love water?

Our kids. The children LOVE to check herd the goats around our yard and are always really upset when the shepherd doesn't care for them as he should.
