And we ask you know to pray for another URGENT need. Pray for Adu and Eytish. They are a family we know well. Eytish comes to church regularly and is part of the women's group. They have 5 young children. Adu, has worked for SIM as a guard in the past.
This afternoon, we discovered that Adu stole another man's wife. (It happens to be a woman I know very well.)
In response, the husband with friends/relatives decided to steal Eytish in return. She was working for us at the time so it was stopped.
Presently Eytish and her children are locked in one of our buildings (for safety) until the situation is resolved.
Unfortunately, Adu has not yet been found and all of Eytish's belongings have been removed from the house.
1. Pray that the Gumuz would learn how to resolve conflict in a peaceful way.
2. Pray for the safety of Eytish or any other female relative they might threaten.
3. Pray for wisdom for those who are involved in this situation.
4. Pray that the Holy Spirit would cool the anger and that relationships could be restored.
5. Pray for the salvation of Adu and all the people involved. Adu and the woman he stole have heard the gospel many times but have chosen to reject it.
