Here is our bad donkey that ran away for 24 hours. It bit another donkey which died at someone's house. We paid the $10 required. Then the owner (below) who used to be one of our guards came to discuss the payment.
The payment was to be a replacement donkey but it couldn't be our donkey. So Rolf's "elder" walked with the owner 2 hours to the donkey market to buy the donkey below last Saturday.
On Sunday, everyone came to do the official handover. Rolf had to hand the donkey over to the owner. Then the owner gave the donkey a smack and it ran away.
Everyone looks very serious here but actually there were many smiles during the transition. Donkeys aren't cheap. It cost about $100.
