My mom did some research for me and it seems that spider bites and shingles have a lot of common symptoms and so we are less sure than before as to what Ariana actually has.
Thankfully though the intense itching has subsided and it is less painful to the touch. The red spots are starting to dry up (they never really blistered) in some areas. She has been a really brave girl through this all and hardly complained (except when a sibling, a parent or a Gumuz grabbed her arm or back which happened several times!)
Thank you for praying for her in this. Time to get some sleep before the new week begins. (It may be an interesting night as the neighbouring village drums are beating and there are many singers out tonight!
