We try to remember to turn on our cell phone but phone calls are few and far between. On top of that the network comes and goes. When it does ring, I am always surprised. Today we had 3 phone calls. One from the postmaster of Dibate saying we have some mail in town. It will be exciting to find out whose mail has actually reached us. We also had a phone call from a Darfur friend living in Addis. We were cut off.
The first call of the day though was from our houseworker Mesalech. She was ill for a few days and Rolf took her to town. She was referred to the next town, caught a bus and was hopefully treated. She called this morning to say she is back in Dibate. Hopefully she will be picked up today (Saturday).
