Travis (SIL missionary living here in Gesses) and 3 Gumuz men are working on Bible translation. Presently they are working on translating the book of Luke into the Gumuz language. On Friday the passage is reviewed by several more men and on Sunday the passage is preached.
Each Tuesday, up to 15 young Gumuz men meet together to read God’s word together, pray and prepare for the following Sunday. These men come from 4 different Gumuz villages but all lead here at the church in Gesses. Rolf will be working alongside these men with the hope of seeing the church multiplied in all the surrounding villages.
