Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him all creatures here below. Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost!
We sang our praises at supper tonight. Rolf arrived shortly before 5pm.Today was a LOOONG day and yet it was so full and busy. Joel decided he didn't remember what daddy's face looked like anymore. I think we were all beginning to feel that way. We were able to make a call to Rolf en route and do some texting during the day so that helped. This was after Joel stated: "I don't think daddy is really coming back." Praise the Lord he was! This morning, I had an hour language lesson and then prepared lunch for 3 special visitors. John Coleman brought Roy Wallace and Mesfin (both fellow Canadians though Mesfin is originally from Ethiopia) to visit Gesses. Roy is a veteran missionary and did some trekking among Gumuz land many many years ago. How neat to have a supporter come and visit us.
Rolf texted us to say that the car was fast but he wouldn't make it by lunch. It was an honor to host these 3 godly men. Nicole later brought coffee over and Demis (Gumuz believer) joined us. They left about 2:30pm.
The rest of the afternoon felt long partly because the Schwenk kids were still sick and so the Kruse kids had "nothing to do". Really they were just waiting and waiting is hard.
At 4:45pm, I sent the kids to the top of the hill to "wait for daddy" and then I called him. He replied with, " I am going to hang up and see you in 30 seconds!" The kids didn't even make it to the top of the hill before they were getting a ride back with him.
It felt like Christmas! Being reunited was wonderful. Our vehicle truly is a gift from the Lord! Rolf brought a rabbit from friends of ours. She already has a dozen names but the most used is Fluffy. It also felt like Christmas as Rolf unloaded a landcruiser filled with fruit and vegetables, ground beef, sporting goods (basketball hoop, balls, etc) for school and even a few letters.
Thank you for lifting us up before the Lord. We have truly been carried by your prayers. We trust that you are encouraged as you see the Lord answer prayer after prayer on our behalf!
With thanksgiving, Angela for the Kruse family
Glad that you guys are all together again... and that the vehicle situation is resolved.
