We arrived in Addis yesterday afternoon and we are freezing!!! I should not have packed in the middle of the afternoon when it was 38C (100F). I took one look at our fleece jackets and thought, we won't need those even in Addis. Well it didn't take more than a few minutes to realize that I was wrong so we are layering. It is about 18C (65F) during the day and drops to about 4C (39F) at night. It is not so cold when you have proper clothing and have a heated house or a roaring fire.
Thankfully our children are extremely adaptable and spent most of the day outdoors anyways. And they are all sporting windburn faces as a result!
