I have 5 willing children participating in our first Christmas performance and 2 willing fathers. We are presently preparing for a Christmas drama called Once Upon a Time. There will be a few costume changes but the children learned all their lines and the songs in 2 weeks. Shocking. I thought I was going a little too far in my attempt to prepare for a Christmas performance in just 3.5 weeks. They are doing well and we are having lots of fun too.
Kalia, Joel and Ariana are the kids who listen to the Christmas story told by their dad. He makes the voices come alive (ie - the drama begins). Kalia and Emily are angels and wisemen. Emily is also the innkeeper's daughter. Joel, Jonas and Ariana are shepherds. Joel is also a wiseman. Barry is Caesar Augustus.
They have learned several new songs including The Best Gift of all, Taxes to the King, At the Inn in Bethlehem. They will also sing Twinkle Twinkle Little star, Angels we have heard on High and We Three Kings. It should be fun and hopefully the grandparents get to watch the video in JanuaryJ
The audience may be small this year though as the Williamson family may not arrive back in time for Christmas due to car troubles in Addis.
