An inconvenience

I am thankful to be mostly an optimist and that is why sometimes it is best to write after an event is over.  Later one often wonders why it was so difficult to endure a particular challenge.  We arrived in Addis and were very happy with our large apartment where we would be able to enjoy some family time.
What pleasure it was to be able to take hot showers and baths.  But the convenience was short lived.  The power was cut off and with it went the hot water.   A generator was set up for the fridges and freezers on this compound but we had to light candles for the evening.  Our home in Gesses was looking really good to us.
Well 48 hours later and the power is back on.  Maybe it will even stay for awhile.    Okay ... that wasn't funny.  Just as I wrote that last line, the power went out.  Seriously.
