Our kids all love quality time. Ramonda spent each afternoon doing crafts with the kids, soccer and races. Thursday night they had pizza night together and set up a date night for Rolf and I. Kalia was thrilled to have her own sleepover with Ramonda and having some one on one time. The kids all thrived under her attention. Although Joel enjoyed the goodies at the tea party, he wasn't about to be part of the picture!
The kids spent time decorating aprons Ramonda had brought out. Joel wasn't too sure about this craft but in the end decided to focus on drawing his best monster truck and other boy pictures.

Valentine's date night!
Kalia has been begging for a puppy for a long time. It eventually wore us down to the point where we couldn't say no. She was praying for a puppy and our neighbours had a litter of 5 puppies. We agreed to the puppy a few days before the Schwenks had to leave and so when Emily (Kalia's best friend) left, she has enjoyed pouring out extra love and attention on Kicha (Kicha means honey in the Gumuz language).
Emily and Jonas, Joel and Kalia enjoyed giving Kicha her first bath. (Yes a little odd considering the Gumuz don't even take baths and here they were soaping up the puppy. ) I imagine though it won't get too many baths so they made the most of this one.
A beautiful sunset in Gesses that made me just stop for a moment to appreciate God's greatness.
