About a week ago, the kids and I joined Rolf on a trip to Kushamba. SIM supports an elementary school in this village which also serves as a church. It takes about 2 hours to walk to Kushamba from Gesses as one has to hike over a mountain. We took the landcruiser. We drove about 15 minutes on the main road and then began offroading. The road wasn't all that bad as it had been cleared of the tall grass. We travelled on this road for about 25 minutes.
Kushamba is a really picturesque village and many children came to see these new faces. Kalia stayed home with Andrea Williamson but the rest of the kids came along. Rolf had to pay the teachers there and have a short meeting which ended up being about 1.5 hours. There are a number of believers in this village and a baptism is being planned for the near future.
