This is the team we have in Gesses. Barry & Nicole Schwenk (family on the left) with 7 y.o. Emily, 4 y.o. Jonas and 1 y.o. Simon are the team leaders and have been living in Gesses for 5 years.
Barry does the administration and heads up the agriculture and education projects along with numerous other activities. Nicole has done some Gumuz teacher training in the past but her primary role this year will be homeschooling.
Rolf & I will be focusing on language learning while beginning evangelism and discipleship training with Gumuz evangelists and women. (we are in the middle:)
Travis is a Bible translator with SIL/Wycliffe and has just begun the Gumuz Bible translation project. They will be living in Gesses but working with Gumuz in a town nearby in the coming year. Travis & Andrea (on the right) have a 1 y.o. son named Micah and they have been living in Gesses for the past year.
